Edexcel GCE Art and Design includes a variety of subjects including Fine Art, Photography and Textile Design.






There are four Assessment Objectives that we need to cover whilst studying Textile Design.


ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVE 1
DEVELOP

Develop their ideas through sustained and focused
investigations informed by contextual and other sources,
demonstrating analytical and critical understanding.


ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVE 2
EXPERIMENT
Experiment with and select appropriate resources, media,
materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining
their ideas as their work develops.

ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVE 3
RECORD
Record in visual and/or other forms ideas, observations and
insights relevant to their intentions, demonstrating an ability
to reflect on their work and progress.

ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVE 4
REALISE
Present a personal, informed and meaningful response
demonstrating critical understanding, realising intentions and,
where appropriate, making connections between visual, oral

or other elements.




The Assessment Objectives are marked using an Assessment Grid. You will be able to see how marks are allocated and ensure that you have covered all of the Objectives.
